Lack of Awareness of Civil Rights

'Aware People of their rights'

As we all know that civil rights play an important role in our day to day life and very important in our personal and professional life. Yet some people don't know how to use them and those who know that how these rights are used mostly misuse them. There are several cases across indian and world where false accusations are made using civil rights. There are people who use these rights efficiently and make their place in the society but because of some false cases, the right ones are also not taken into account and not resolved properly and  people belong to those right cases have to suffer heavily during the course of the court hearing.
There are many examples based on rights where these rights have been used perfectly and examples where these are used only to take revenge and to make money from some people. Below are the situations where people are not properly aware of some of our fundamental rights.

Right to equality:

'All people are equal'

The meaning of the law is that there is no discrimination on the basis of caste, religion, race and sex. According to this statement all the citizens will be treated equally and none will be biased on the basis of lower and higher class. But still in our country there are some places where people are not treated equally and areas where the literacy rate is low the women are not treated equally and do not have the rights as men. People belong to lower class have not given the same rights as people of higher class. They are still considered as untouchable.

Right to freedom:

In this right one of the freedom is to choose the occupation or profession of their interest. According to which any career can be obtained by citizens of India for which they want to go.
But  in many rural areas as well as in some urban areas women are not allowed to work and those who are, they can't go for occupation of their choice. Most of the women are restricted in the houses.

Right against Exploitation:

According to this right we cannot force anybody to do anything that we want if there is no mutual consent of the other person. Any breach of this provision is a punishable offence according to the law. But in some parts of our country right against exploitation is still violated people are introduced in force labour without payment. In some areas people are forced to beg. In few regions persons belong to lower class forced to propose services out of loan that can not be reimbursed.

In today's scenario people are still not aware about the fundamental rights given to them by our constitution. It is necessary to make them familiar with their civil rights. Government should take this serious issue into account and should made various policies to make people conscious of their fundamental rights and people who are already aware about these fundamental rights should take it as a moral duty to make familiar to the civil rights to people who are less aware of it.
